The dial, in white and sea-green tones, allows you to follow the main stages of the tidal cycle: rising tide, high tide, falling tide and low tide. The hour markers and indications arranged around the circumference make it simple and intuitive to read.
A tide clock provides an approximate indication of the tidal cycle: rising tide, high tide, falling tide and low tide. Its mechanism is based on the lunar cycle and completes one full rotation in approximately 12 hours and 25 minutes, which corresponds to the average interval between two successive high tides.
To set it correctly, check the exact time of high tide for the area where the clock will be used. At that time, position the hand on “High Tide”. The mechanism will then automatically follow the tidal cycle.
