This tide indicator shaped like a ship’s wheel combines functionality with nautical decoration. The frame is made of aluminium, with a design inspired by traditional marine steering wheels. The dial clearly displays the different stages of the tidal cycle: rising tide, high tide, falling tide and low tide, using a hand and several graphic markers.
The front is protected by a transparent glass cover, which helps preserve the dial and makes it easy to clean. The central navy blue anchor motif reinforces its nautical style. Both practical and decorative, this tide indicator is ideal for a seaside home, boat, office, shop or any marine-inspired interior.
A tide clock provides an approximate indication of the tidal cycle: rising tide, high tide, falling tide and low tide. Its mechanism is based on the lunar cycle and completes one full rotation in approximately 12 hours and 25 minutes, which corresponds to the average interval between two successive high tides.
To set it correctly, check the exact time of high tide for the area where the clock will be used. At that time, position the hand on “High Tide”. The mechanism will then automatically follow the tidal cycle.
It is important to set the clock using the tide times for the specific location, as these vary from one coastline to another. The clock provides an approximate indication and should not be used as a substitute for official tide tables for navigation.
