This tide indicator makes it easy to follow the different stages of the tide: rising tide, high tide, falling tide and low tide. Its clear dial features hour markers and arrows showing the direction of the tidal cycle. At the centre is the Les Poulains lighthouse, located at the north-western tip of Belle-Île-en-Mer, in Morbihan, Brittany. Standing on Pointe des Poulains in a spectacular landscape of rocks and ocean, this lighthouse is one of the island’s most iconic landmarks. Both practical and decorative, this instrument is available with three frame finishes: white metal, navy blue metal or a wooden frame.
Setting the tide clock
To set the clock, check the time of the next high tide in your geographical area. At the exact time of high tide, position the tide hand on “High Tide.”
The clock will then automatically follow the average tidal cycle, indicating the progression towards low tide and then towards the next high tide.
It is recommended to check the setting periodically using official tide times.
An instruction guide explaining how to set and use the tide clock is included with the product.
